Born Ikechukwu John-Ogbuku in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, He spent his early years in PH city & was involved in different aspects of music from an early age, from singing in the church choir, to learning to play the piano, to rapping old Heavy D & MC Hammer songs. Growing up, he listened to artists like Michael Jackson, UB40, Bob Marley, Boys2Men etc that molded his idea of the kind of artist he would love to become. He attended Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary, where he fiddled with songwriting and eventually wrote his first song, developing his talent and performed his own songs during social events regularly. While in Malaysia, he would skip classes a few times to be in the studio and put out songs through Myspace till he got noticed. Young Stunna has appeared on high-profile Malaysian collaborations & regarded as the premiere African Hip-Hop artiste in Asia prior to relocating to Nigeria. He featured on mixtapes by DJ Fuzz (Warner Music), Black Dada(Universal), Bryan B (Warner), Caprice (Warner). In 2010, he signed to Reshmonu’s R Records (Warner Music, Malaysia). In 2013, he put out a mixtape aptly titled “The Research Paper” that received favorable reviews. All songs off the mixtape were released by Malaysia’s major mobile companies. He returned to Nigeria in 2013 & has gone on to release critically acclaimed & chart-topping singles including; “Buate” from Olamide, Amaechi – Run the Town, Higher, Area Boys etc. He is patiently waiting for the perfect moment to drop his album.
